CNYScanners.com is an independently owned and operated network of radio receivers. These units are strategically placed around Central New York to provide a truly redundant listening experience. Units are often housed inside businesses, local fire or police stations and other neighboring communities ensuring we have adeqaute coverage to provide our community with this service.

Due to the nature of the radio signals being transmitted, the Emergency Services (Police, Fire and EMS) portion of CNYScanners.com are only allowed to be hosted internally by CNYScanners.com. This allows us to ensure that any radio traffic intended for secure communication, such as Drug and Crime Enforcement, Prisoner Transport and other services are not broadcast to the community, allowing us to ensure safety, and that we are not potentially putting peoples safety in jeopardy.

Other non-emergency scanner traffic may be hosted from outside parties, however you will need to register with CNYScanners.com to be a feed provider.

CNYScanners.com for the forseeable future will be free to visitors, there are no current or future plans to put any scanning feeds behind a pay wall. Additional features can be unlocked by creating a free website account, but you do not need to have an account to listen to the scanners in your area.
